In today’s challenging business environment, it is more important ever to discover and nurture new ideas. The success of any industrial organization depends on its ability to meet the requirements of the customer on a continuing basis by producing goods and services of the right qualities, right quantity, at the right time and right cost. Delivering the goods at the right place and through the right means also assumes importance for the long term success of the organization. However, all these goals are possible only if the organization is able to utilise its resources in the most efficient manner with a high level of productivity. Productivity growth is important to any industrial/service organization because it means that the organization can meet its obligations to customers, shareholders, government and still remain competitive in the market place.
IIIE takes great pleasure in inviting organizations and individuals to participate in the National Productivity Competition 2019. The competition is aimed at promoting innovation and nurturing a focus on augmenting productivity at the work place. It would help to identify various methods used by the organizations for improving productivity of their resources and share the best practices, success stories, achievements and challenges with other industries for spreading the message of productivity and also to enable them to derive the benefits of productivity improvement.
Who Can Participate
Any industry/organization engaged in manufacturing or service can participate in the contest by sending a case study of the productivity improvement project undertaken by the organization. The case study can be any area of the company where improvement of productivity has been achieved by implementation of productivity improvement techniques. All the relevant details of the results achieved should be supported and authorized by the organization.
Case study should be in English, typed in MS Word, using Arial 12 font and should not exceed 6 pages of A4 size. Documentary evidence and colored photographs may be enclosed in support of the case. Selected case studies will be published in IIIE publications.
Presentation at the Convention and Jury
The case studies shall be presented by a team of maximum 2 members/individual. The presentation shall be in the power point format for a maximum of 15 minutes followed by questions from panel of judges. Case studies will be evaluated by eminent persons from industry and institutions. Results of the jury should be binding on participant. Awards and Qualifying criteria
The first three winners will be awarded prestigious IIIE Productivity Award 2019 during the National Convention. All participating teams will be given certificates of appreciation with Mementos The qualifying criteria for case study is that it must be relate to workplace, actually implemented/going on with measured results and original work.
